The Pact for Ecological Transformation, signed on August 21, 2024, by Brazil’s Executive, Legislative, and Judiciary branches, establishes five main measures: expanding financing and reducing credit costs for sustainable sectors; prioritizing legislative bills on the carbon market, renewable energy, and biofuels; accelerating judicial processing of environmental, land, and climate cases; integrating public land and environmental databases to ensure legal certainty and unlock investments; and adopting management practices across all branches to reduce their direct environmental impacts, such as through sustainable procurement and energy efficiency.
