Law promoting both electric mobility and grid-scale energy storage deployment to support renewable energy integration. It allows stand-alone storage systems (i.e. not attached to power plants) to participate in electricity markets, inject power into the grid, and earn revenues. It also provides fiscal incentives for electric vehicles, including a full exemption from the annual vehicle registration tax for two years and a partial exemption for six additional years. EV batteries can also be connected to the grid and function as storage systems.
