The UK government put forward the Carbon Budget and Growth Delivery Plan (CBGD), which is the third version of the sixth budget delivery plan, after the previous two versions have been ruled unlawful. The sixth carbon budget, passed in 2021, legislates an emissions reduction of 78% below 1990 by 2035 - which the new plan demonstrates to achieve with existing and over 150 additional proposals and policies.
