In 2024, Norway's clean energy agency Enova SF announced a support scheme of NOK 777 million for five hydrogen production projects. The scheme aims to support the establishment of a domestic value chain for hydrogen, and is part of the Hydrogen Production for Maritime Transport 2027 initiative.
