Thailand's Power Development Plan (PDP) 2024, part of the National Energy Plan, has experienced significant delays and, as of February 2026, has still not been finalized. The draft plan aims to increase the share of renewable energy to 51% of total power generation by 2037, up from 20% in 2024, while also promoting energy efficiency and considering alternative energy sources such as hydrogen fuel and small nuclear reactors.
